Hetao University is located at the heart of Hetao Plain in central Inner Mongolia- Bayannaoer Linhe District. To the north are the Yinshan Mountains, to the south is the Yellow River. Its resources are rich and agriculture as well as industries are advanced; people are intelligent, educated and well developed.

  More than 1.5 million people of all ethnic groups raised funds to set up HeTao University. It is a comprehensive university with higher educational qualifications and authorized by the Ministry of Education. The Former Vice President Wu Lanfu nominated the name of the school. At present, Hetao University has 18 departments and institutes for the 43 specialties. It covers an area of 785,000 square meters, of which 200,000 square meters are constructed for buildings and facilities. Equipments and computers are worth 30 million Yuan and it has a library of 500,000 books. It has 1095 teaching staffs.

  HeTao University will further enrich and improve the educational conditions, strengthen the building of hardware and software as well as optimize the educational environment constantly to make it an institution of higher learning with obvious advantages and characteristics among similar institutions.

  The International College, an affiliated institute for higher and professional learning was established with mutual understanding and co-operation between the university and yes-edu group of Shen Heng Yuan Investment Consultant Ltd. YES-Lion International College of Singapore and Shenzhen.

  The aims of setting up International College were firstly to recruit foreign students to come to HETAO to learn Chinese. Secondly, to provide opportunity to domestic students and teaching staff to learn or improve their English from foreign teachers, and finally for the exchange of teaching experience. Since its establishment, the International College has recruited a team of teaching experts from America, Canada and Singapore. The college has also offered a diverse range of courses/ programs from academic, language, professional and even preparatory courses like SAT and IELTS to prepare students for international examinations. Besides, the college also recruits and select students from China to go to USA, Canada or Singapore for further studies and employment.
